Commemorating the 13th Anniversary of the Founding of The University of Cambodia (UC), with the theme “Planting the Palm Trees as the Symbolic Trees of UC and the Promotion of Life-Long Learning Culture at UC.” Participation in this UC’s milestone event included Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of UC; UC BoT Member and VP Khem Rany; members the Management Team; Faculty; Staff and Students. Overall, a total of 13 palm trees were planted to mark the 13th anniversary of UC. In addition, a total of nine key staff (who joined UC from the very beginning, either before or immediately after the inauguration on 23 June 2002) were recognized for their commitment, dedication and contribution to UC. Representing the young people at UC, Kao Kim Panya, Assistant to UC President, spoke on the importance of planting palm trees at UC and keeping the UC garden green, clean and environmentally friendly!
